The Mannamong Vol 1 - Page 1: Desire Can Grow Life or Destroy It
The prologue begins with the root of it all—desire.
Welcome to the beginning of The Mannamong — the first step into a world where unseen forces and hidden dreams quietly shape reality.
Today, we begin the story, one page at a time.
Here’s your first look at Page 1:

Transcript:
Desire is great. It lures us to take action and to seek the truth. Without desire… motivation… life wouldn’t function. Hence why life continues to grow…
But desire can destroy life as well… Longings… obsession… greed…
These are stems of a fruit enriched in addictive nectar… nature’s natural sweetness only draws in the hungry before being devoured by the trap.
Therefore, a guardian is needed…
Many guardians…
Quote:
“Desire is great. It lures us to take action and seek the truth.”
Behind-the-Scenes Commentary:
This page is like a quiet "prologue whisper" to the story. It’s me upfront telling the reader, "Hey, desire isn't just good or bad—it’s powerful, and it needs to be respected."
The fruit illustration came from wanting a simple but primal symbol — something that looks sweet and natural, but also hints at danger if you’re not careful like a Venus flytrap disguised as a berry.
The idea of "many guardians" foreshadows that protecting life (and ourselves) isn’t a solo job. It's bigger than any one character — it’s a world responsibility.
Tone-wise, I wanted it to feel both mythic and cautionary, like an old story told around a campfire before the real journey begins.
Each week, a new page will unfold, carrying you further into the journey.
